Centering Civil Dialogue: Raising Engaged Citizens through Elementary Debate with Christine McIntyre

The "engaged citizen" is a core characteristic of the Jordan School District’s Portrait of a Graduate, defined as an individual who contributes meaningfully to society by staying informed, participating in public affairs, and serving others. For students in the upper elementary grade levels, this characteristic involves understanding their role within a community and seeing how their actions can positively impact those around them. From Passive to Productive: Inside the Jordan Innovation Lab

We take a deep dive into the Jordan Innovation Lab to see how educators are closing this gap by moving students from passive consumers to active creators.
