The Finger Guns Five Go On A Big Walk

This week Rossko, Miles and Josh talk the weeks news including the Xbox Disc to Digital feature rolling out and what it really means for the consumer, along with the news that Dave Bautista will be taking over the role of Kratos in Amazon's God of War TV show. Is he the right choice? We get into it. Finally, Sony have, at last, responded to the backlash of their digital only future. Miles is cool with it, totally. Yeesh. In Game of the Week, Miles has been finally finishing the fight in Halo: Campaign Evolved, whilst Josh has been tearing through Tears of Metal. The Sh** Sandwich That Is Video Game News Continues...

This week on The Finger Guns Podcast Dr Kat takes the reigns with Miles and Josh to talk the weeks news, and it's another absolute hellscape for which we are struggling to get through with any semblance of positivity. We start by focusing on the aftermath of the PlayStation announcement that they're pulling physical games. Sony have stayed remarkably silent on the topic, and haven't taken a second to acknowledge the backlash. But why? We discuss. Elsewhere Ubisoft have kicked out 51 developers on Black Flag Resynced on the day of release, and we are dwelling in how utterly depressing this news is and what this means for our excitement for the Assassin's Creed remake. Also, Xbox still exist! Just. Ugh. In Game of the Week Miles continues his journey with Valkyria Chronicles 4, Josh wants everyone to play 1000xResist and Kat has been checking out Lost in Random: The Eternal Die. PlayStation Pull Physical Game Releases from 2028. Yikes.

This week on The Finger Guns Podcast, Rossko and Miles get together to talk the weeks news (along with a review of My Chemical Romance at Anfield) which once again is just sad and not good. Who is being rubbish this week? Sony! They've confirmed that they will cease production of physical discs from January 2028, which has led to the end of an era discussion and gets a little emotional talking about the disappointment of the gaming industry of late. The one crumb of good news, bizarrely, comes from Xbox, where there are rumours that they're planning to add software to Helix that would turn physical games into digital ones. In Game of the Week, Miles has been jumping into his backlog and spend the week checking out Valkyria Chronicles 4 whilst Rossko has not done that and instead spent his gaming time this week chasing down rare Sprites in Fortnite. GTA VI Is Digital Only At Launch And The Internet Is Fine About It
