I Stopped Chasing My “Old Self” After Becoming a Mom
What happens when you finally step into a life you once prayed for… but part of you is still learning how to live it? In this episode of The Daily Cafecito, I’m getting vulnerable about my transition from being a corporate working girly to becoming a full-time stay-at-home mom — and the identity shift that came with it. As grateful as I am for this season of my life, I’ve realized that slowing down can bring up parts of yourself you didn’t even know you were carrying. When you’ve spent years operating in survival mode, constantly achieving, proving yourself, staying busy, or preparing for the next thing, it can feel uncomfortable to simply allow yourself to enjoy the life in front of you. We’re talking about learning how to stop letting past experiences and old versions of yourself dictate how you experience your life today. I also get into manifestation, creating routines that help me feel grounded, practicing gratitude, setting intentions, and learning that wanting MORE for yourself doesn’t mean you aren’t grateful for what you already have. Maybe healing isn’t about becoming the person you were before. Maybe it’s about asking yourself: Who do I want to be in this season of my life? You’re allowed to be a present mom and still be ambitious. You’re allowed to slow down and still have huge dreams. You’re allowed to be grateful for the life you have while continuing to manifest the life you’re creating. Most importantly, you don’t have to keep experiencing your present through the lens of what happened to you in the past. This is your life now. You get to experience it on your own terms. 🤎 ☕️ In this episode we talk about: • My transition from working mom to stay-at-home mom • Losing and rebuilding your sense of identity after motherhood • Letting go of survival mode • How past experiences can shape the way we experience the present • Manifestation and becoming your next version • Creating routines that support the woman you want to become • Gratitude without giving up your ambition • Learning to actually enjoy the life you prayed for • Becoming her without abandoning who you are If you’re navigating motherhood, a major life transition, reinventing yourself, or simply trying to create a life that feels more like YOU, grab your cafecito and come hang out with me. 🤎 The Daily Cafecito is your reminder that you can love where you are and still be excited about where you’re going.
