About the show

Welcome to "The Caring Advisor", I'm so glad you're here! I'm Elizabeth Brickman, "The Caring Advisor"! This podcast is for those who long to experience financial happiness God's way. I'm a former finance professional, credentialed in biblical finance. Ten years ago, I left private practice to write books, because I want all of us, not just those who sat at my desk, to develop an increasingly wonderful and holy relationship with money. We will talk about how to resist financial headwinds that come against us, how to make wise decisions, and how to avoid accidental poverty. I'll share stories about my financial faith heroes, clients who humbled me, inspired me, and taught me. These are everyday men and women just like you who got it right. And they serve as models for all of us about who we can be and how we can financially grow in Christ. Don't miss an episode, subscribe on your favorite podcast platform, so you'll be notified immediately when a new episode airs. And I do hope you will tell your family and at least five of your friends! Come visit me at elizabethbrickman.com

Ep 109: Who Told You Who You Are?

This episode begins our Wealth Confident series. In this opening episode, Elizabeth Brickman explores one of the most important questions we will ever answer: Whose voice has shaped our identity?Long before success strategies, business plans, or financial goals, there is identity. The way we see ourselves shapes the opportunities we pursue, the risks we take, the dreams we allow ourselves, and the life we ultimately build.Psalm 139 reminds us that we are intentionally created by God—fearfully and wonderfully made. Yet many of us continue to live below the level of confidence, courage, and purpose God intended because we have accepted labels He never gave us.In this episode, Elizabeth discusses:• Why identity always comes before strategy.• How false beliefs quietly limit success.• Why childhood circumstances and painful experiences do not determine your future.• The importance of replacing old soundtracks with God's truth.• How seeing yourself as God sees you unlocks courage, creativity, and confidence.Success is not reserved for those born with advantages. It belongs to those who align themselves with truth.Scriptures ReferencedPsalm 139:13–16Ephesians 2:10John 10:10Proverbs 3:2Thank you for listening to The Caring Advisor Podcast. If you’d like information about Elizabeth’s two upcoming books, sign up on her website, ElizabethBrickman.com, for advance notice of their release, along with pre-order discounts offered from her publisher, End Game Press, as soon as available. If today's episode has encouraged you, please subscribe, share it with a friend, and leave a review.Wealth BlessedWealth Confident
