Coach Eagan joins us for this mid-summer show with updates on the first month of summer practice and the focus on the July practice sessions. She also shares an early look at the 2026-2027 pre-season schedule and how her team will focus on community service.
This week Freshman guard Maya Thompson joins us on the Amy Eagan show. Coach Eagan talks about the first set of summer practices with her new team, some of the community events scheduled and how she uses her coaching staff during this first summer session.

The Amy Eagan Show continues from the University of New Mexico. Join Coach Eagan as she discusses her move to UNM and some of the players joining her from the Midwest. We compare the Mountain West Conference with the Ohio Valley conference and this week's media reports of a 76-team NCAA tournament as early as 2027. The Show will continue with periodic podcasts during the summer and pre-season and then will move to weekly podcasts as the 2026-2027 season kicks off.
This week Coach Eagan looks back at the Ohio Valley Conference tournament. We also talk about her preparation for the transfer portal and she discusses the 3 freshmen that will be joining her squad next Fall.
Coach talks about the big win and OVC co-championship won over the weekend. She details the guidance she gave to the team as they nursed a one-point lead with 5 seconds remaining. We also look ahead to this week's OVC tournament where the LU women's team will enter as the number 2 seed - and a double-bye into the semi-finals Friday afternoon.
Coach Eagan reviews the successful road trip to Tennessee and looks ahead to final two regular season games. She also previews the Fashion Walk that the LUWBB team will be doing with LU fashion students before this week's Thursday game against EIU.
In this week's podcast, Coach Eagan reviews two important home wins as her squad works to secure a double-bye in the OVC tournament in Evansville, IN during the first week of March. She also shared her teams Fall 2025 cume GPA of 3.5. 4 players reported grades of 4.0. Finally, Coach Eagan talked about the first ever Fashion Walk for her young women. Working with Dr. Chajuana Trawick from Lindenwood's fashion program, the players will sport their own fashion tastes along with accessories provided by the LU fashion design students. The players will be recorded as the enter Hyland arena a few hours before the 5:00 p.m. final home game of the year against Eastern Illinois University.
Coach Eagan reviews recent games against SIU-E and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She also discusses how she gave her team some time to recover from a grueling stretch of 4 games in 7 days. With 6 games remaining in the OVC regular season, Coach Eagan talks about how she prepares her team for this final stretch before the OVC tournament.
