Welcome to Robocast! We are the Academies of Loudoun, FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 5338, also known as RoboLoCo. Our team's goal is to encourage and inspire high school students throughout Loudoun County to become future STEM leaders. To further our advocacy efforts, our team host a STEM-based podcast with stories, interviews, roundtables, and more! Episode 7: FRC 1629, Garrett Coalition (GaCo)

What does it take to win the Chairman’s Award? How do you impact every classroom in your county? In this episode, RoboLoCo meets with FRC 1629, Garrett Coalition (GaCo), from Accident, Maryland! Since 2004, GaCo has grown their team and outreach to become the 2022 Chairman’s (now Impact) Award Champions! They have transformed STEM education and improved opportunities in their county by reaching out to every 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classroom through their Waypoint Lessons. Episode 4: VISTA Leader, Kate Sample

For the first episode of our new season, meet Kate Sample, a VISTA Leader for Americorps who has been involved with FIRST since she was five years old! Since then, she has received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree as a STEM Instruction Specialist, and has guided Title I students through their FIRST journey and into successful STEM careers.
