Ep.102 - How to Increase Your Tithing Exponenrially

What if 10% isn't the finish line of generosity but the starting point? In this episode of Rich Young & Powerful, Andrew McNair explores what it means to grow from simply tithing to living a life of increasing generosity. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 9, Andrew looks at the biblical picture of sowing, multiplication, and stewardship and why the resources God provides aren't meant only to be consumed or accumulated, but also used to make an impact. He also shares practical ways to create more room for generosity as your income changes, including how to think differently about raises, cost-of-living adjustments, savings, and lifestyle increases. In this episode: • Why generosity requires faith • What Paul meant by God supplying “seed to the sower” • Why the tithe is a foundation, not a ceiling • How lifestyle inflation can quietly limit generosity • Practical ways to increase your giving as your income grows • Why stewardship begins with recognizing who owns it all Generosity isn't simply about giving more. It's about becoming more intentional with everything you've been entrusted with. Andrew also shares more about his journey toward generosity in his book, The Giving Crisis. Invest your life into something that will outlive it. Ep.101 - Charitable Remainder Trusts: Give More, Create Income & Leave a Legacy

What if an appreciated asset could provide income for you today and ultimately create a lasting impact for a cause you care about? A Charitable Remainder Trust, or CRT, is an estate and charitable-giving strategy designed for people who want to be generous without simply giving an asset away and receiving nothing from it during their lifetime. In this episode of Rich Young & Powerful, Andrew McNair breaks down how Charitable Remainder Trusts work and why they may appeal to families with highly appreciated assets who also have a desire to give. You’ll learn: • What a Charitable Remainder Trust is and who may benefit from one • How appreciated assets can be transferred into a CRT • How the trust can create an income stream for the donor or other beneficiaries • The role charitable tax deductions and capital gains considerations can play • Why the assets placed into a CRT are irrevocable • What happens to the remaining assets at the end of the trust term • Important limitations and tradeoffs to understand before establishing one • Why estate, tax, investment, and charitable professionals may all need to be part of the conversation A CRT isn't right for everyone. But for someone who has accumulated significant wealth and wants that wealth to accomplish more than simply being consumed, it can create an intersection between income, generosity, stewardship, and legacy. Because ultimately, wealth isn't only about what you keep. It's about what you can do with what you've been given. Rich Young & Powerful explores wealth, faith, generosity, purpose, and what it means to invest your life into something that will outlive it. Find more resources at RichYoungPowerful.com/blog . Ep.100 - What Is Investing

What does it really mean to invest and why should you? In this episode of Rich Young & Powerful, Andrew McNair breaks investing down to its foundation: putting your money in motion so it has the opportunity to multiply. Using simple illustrations of planting seeds, rolling a snowball and owning a beach house, Andrew explains how compounding works, the two primary ways investments can create returns, and why diversification matters. But investing isn’t just about accumulating more. Andrew explores investing through the lens of stewardship—wisely managing the resources God has entrusted to you so you can provide for your family, give more generously and create an impact that extends beyond your own lifetime. In this episode, you’ll learn: • What investing actually means • Why inflation makes growing your money important • How compounding can multiply wealth over time • The difference between appreciation and investment income • Why diversification matters • Why there is no single “perfect” investment • How investing can become part of faithful stewardship The goal isn’t simply to become wealthier. It’s to become a better steward of what you’ve been given and ultimately use those resources for something greater than yourself. Ep.99 - Private Placement Life Insurance

For families with significant wealth, stewardship is about more than simply growing assets. It also means thinking intentionally about taxes, legacy, generosity, and how wealth can be structured to serve a greater purpose. In this episode of Rich Young & Powerful, Andrew McNair explores Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI)—an advanced financial strategy designed primarily for high-net-worth investors seeking more tax-efficient ways to grow, access, and eventually transfer wealth. Andrew explains how PPLI works, why some affluent families use it to hold alternative investments, and how its life-insurance structure can potentially provide tax-deferred growth, tax-advantaged access to cash value, and estate-planning opportunities. In this episode: • What Private Placement Life Insurance actually is • Why PPLI may appeal to investors facing significant income and capital-gains taxes • How investments such as private equity, hedge funds, REITs, venture capital, and other alternatives may fit within a PPLI structure • The potential role of PPLI in estate and legacy planning • Why fees, insurance costs, diversification requirements, and investor-control rules matter • Who may be an appropriate candidate for PPLI • The importance of avoiding Modified Endowment Contract (MEC) problems • Why PPLI should be coordinated with your broader financial, tax, estate, and philanthropic strategy PPLI is not designed for everyone. But for families managing significant wealth, it raises a larger question: How can you structure what you've been entrusted with wisely—not simply to accumulate more, but to preserve, transfer, give, and create lasting impact? Andrew closes by reflecting on his own journey from ambition and accumulation toward generosity and the belief that wealth is ultimately something we are called to steward well. Ep.98 - Everything You Have Belongs to God: Why Stewardship Matters

What if your money, time, possessions, relationships, and opportunities were never really yours to begin with? In this episode of Rich Young & Powerful, Andrew McNair explores the biblical meaning of stewardship and why it matters for anyone who has been entrusted with wealth, influence, or resources. Drawing from James 5 and Romans, Andrew examines the uncomfortable warning Scripture gives about riches, self-indulgence, greed, and the responsibility we have to use what God has placed in our hands for something greater than ourselves. In this episode, you’ll hear: • Why biblical stewardship begins with understanding ownership • What James’ warning to the rich means for believers today • Why wealth can become spiritually dangerous when comfort becomes the goal • The difference between accumulating earthly wealth and making eternal investments • Why generosity, service, and caring for others are essential parts of faithful stewardship • The question every believer should consider: What am I doing with what God has entrusted to me? Your resources are temporary. Your stewardship of them has eternal significance. Ep.97 - Can I Tithe My Time Instead of Money?

Can you tithe your time instead of your money? It’s a question Andrew McNair has been hearing more often—and underneath it is a much bigger conversation about tithing, generosity, stewardship, and the condition of our hearts. In this episode of Rich Young & Powerful, Andrew looks at what Scripture says about tithing, from the first fruits of the Old Testament to Jesus’ words to the Pharisees. He explains why giving your time, talents, and abilities can be an important part of serving God but why service shouldn’t simply become a substitute for financial giving. You’ll hear Andrew unpack: • Why the biblical tithe involved giving God the first and the best • Whether volunteering or professional services can count as your tithe • What Jesus’ rebuke of the Pharisees teaches us about obedience and the heart • Why giving money doesn’t exempt us from giving our time and talents • How generosity becomes much bigger than simply checking a 10% box • Why the tithe may be the beginning—not the end—of a generous life Ultimately, God doesn’t need our money or our time. Giving reminds us who everything belongs to and invites us into deeper dependence, worship, and participation in His work. Give your money. Give your time. Give your talents. And allow generosity to shape the way you live. Follow Rich Young & Powerful for more conversations about faith, generosity, stewardship, purpose, and building a legacy that outlives you. Ep.96 - Is Tithing Only an Old Testament Law? What the Bible Really Says

Is tithing simply an Old Testament requirement that disappeared when Jesus fulfilled the law? It’s one of the most common arguments against tithing, but the biblical story of giving begins long before Moses and continues well into the New Testament. In this episode of Rich, Young & Powerful, Andrew McNair examines tithing throughout Scripture, beginning with Abraham and Jacob giving a tenth before the Mosaic law was ever established. He then turns to the early church, Paul’s teaching on cheerful generosity, and Jesus’ own words about tithing, justice, mercy, and the condition of our hearts. You’ll discover why the New Testament doesn’t lower the standard of generosity, but in many ways raises it—and why Christian giving should flow from gratitude, worship, and a transformed relationship with God rather than obligation alone. In this episode: • Did tithing exist before the Old Testament law? • What Abraham and Jacob teach us about giving • What Jesus actually said about tithing • Why the early church practiced radical generosity • Paul’s teaching on cheerful, voluntary giving • The difference between giving from obligation and giving from gratitude • Why generosity can become part of your Christian testimony • What your relationship with money may reveal about your heart If this conversation encourages or challenges you, follow Rich Young & Powerful and share this episode with someone who is thinking more deeply about faith, money, stewardship, and generosity. Ep.95 - Tithing is the Floor, Not the Ceiling

Most people associate exponential growth with investing, technology, or business. But what could happen if your generosity—and your faith—began growing exponentially too? In this episode of Rich Young & Powerful, Andrew McNair explores the biblical principle of sowing and reaping found in 2 Corinthians 9. God provides seed not simply for us to consume or store away, but for us to sow into work that advances His Kingdom and blesses others. Andrew explains why tithing is not the finish line of generosity. It is the foundation—the first tenth, the floor rather than the ceiling. He also shares practical ways families can begin moving toward a full tithe without allowing every raise, promotion, tax refund, or cost-of-living adjustment to become another lifestyle upgrade. In this episode, you’ll discover: • Why financial uncertainty can reveal where we place our trust • The difference between consuming the seed and sowing it • How generosity strengthens faith and obedience • Practical ways to increase your giving over time • How to divide raises between giving, saving, and lifestyle • Why tithing prepares your heart for greater generosity Everything we have is first a gift from God. The question is not simply how much we possess, but how faithfully we are using what He has entrusted to us. Follow Rich Young & Powerful for more conversations about biblical generosity, faithful stewardship, purpose, wealth, and building a legacy that outlives you. Ep.94 - Biblical Stewardship: Money, Purpose, and the Life of Joseph

What changes when you stop seeing yourself as the owner of your wealth, time, talents, and opportunities? Biblical stewardship begins with one foundational truth: everything we have belongs to God. We are not owners; we are entrusted managers. That changes the question from, “How little do I need to give?” to, “How much do I need to live on so I can use the rest for God’s purposes?” In this episode, Andrew McNair examines the life of Joseph and the lessons his story teaches us about faithful stewardship. Joseph remained diligent through betrayal, slavery, false accusations, imprisonment, and eventually extraordinary influence. Whether he was serving in Potiphar’s house, managing responsibilities in prison, or preparing an entire nation for famine, Joseph faithfully used what God placed in his hands. You’ll discover how stewardship: • Brings greater order and value to what has been entrusted to us • Gives peace and confidence to the people who depend on us • Requires faithfulness even when no one appears to be watching • Continues through adversity, disappointment, and unexpected detours • Calls us to obey God and trust Him with the final results Your possessions, influence, relationships, abilities, and wealth are only in your hands for a season. The question is not simply what you have accumulated, but how faithfully you are using it for God’s glory and the good of others. Ep.93 - Protection, Liquidity & Return

Every investment comes with a tradeoff. You may want protection from loss, immediate access to your money, and an attractive rate of return—but no single investment can fully provide all three. In this episode, Andrew McNair introduces the PLR framework: Protection, Liquidity, and Return. These are the three questions every investor should consider before putting money to work. Andrew explains: • Why avoiding all risk can create risks of its own • How inflation can quietly reduce your purchasing power • Why liquidity creates both flexibility and opportunity • When holding too much cash may work against your long-term goals • How the pursuit of higher returns can lead investors into costly decisions • Why diversification is essential when balancing protection, liquidity, and growth You’ll also hear how fear and greed can influence investment decisions and why a wise strategy begins by understanding what you are gaining and what you are giving up. Because the goal is not simply to earn the highest possible return. It is to steward your resources wisely, protect what you have built, and invest with clarity. Follow Rich, Young & Powerful for thoughtful conversations about wealth, faith, generosity, purpose, and building a legacy that outlives you.
