Dr. Ann Nelson is a pathologist who is a member of the working group here at Pathologists Overseas. She has had a long career in global health. Dr. Nelson completed medical school in Mexico and served as a chief of the pathology laboratory for the International AIDS Project (Projet SIDA) in Kinshasa. Dr. Heinz Hoenecke is one of the co-founders and past presidents of Pathologists Overseas. Dr. Hoeneke completed his undergraduate and medical training at the University of Michigan, his anatomic and clinical pathology training in Detroit and Phoenix, and practiced pathology in Phoenix and San Diego until his retirement in 1995. After retirement, Heinz and his wife, Alice, raised funds and recruited volunteers for PO. He participated in projects in Kenya, Eritrea, Nepal, Madagascar, El Salvador, Peru, and Ghana.Support the show
Dr. Merih Tesfazghi interviews Susan Morin. Susan has extensive experience working as a clinical lab scientist and quality assurance officer in hospital labs in the states. Susan was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sierra Leone. Additionally, she was a quality assurance advisor with Pathologists Overseas in Eritrea, Bhutan, and West Indies.Support the show
