This week KP sits down with local entrepreneur Mike Vecchione. Bio from Mike: Mike Vecchione retired from the Coast Guard after 20 years of service. During that time I acquired a love for all things tobacco and coffee. Originally learning how to roast coffee in Guatemala while doing some work there, I returned with the desire to learn more. After retiring I opened Primo Cigars and Coffee in Norfolk and built the first "Trolley Cigar Bar" in downtown Norfolk. I was serving a Veteran owned brand of coffee that I would later become part owner and head roaster for. During that time I worked with Karel Martinez from Enki Cigars and came out with my very first cigar! Covid unfortunately caused the Trolley to close but I was already at the helm of a rapidly growing coffee company roasting ALL of their coffee and coming up with all of their new blends. In 2021 I sold my shares to the company and took a job with Town Center Cold Pressed Roastery as their director of coffee. I also released my second cigar and during my time at Cold Pressed, I decided to launch this brand to share my love for coffee and tobacco with my family and friends. Why "labs"? Our Artist Mike Cranford, who does all of our original artwork always says that I am mad scientist with coffee and cigars. We do love to delve into the science aspect of roasting and creating blends and always ensuring the top quality product. It's not "just coffee" and it will never be good enough to us which is why it's great! This week KP sits down with Brent Montella. Brent is a Virginia Beach local who joined Sea Shore Realty, the family real estate business in 2006 owned and operated by his sister, Tracy Boswell. From the beginning, Brent has consistently ranked in the top tier of real estate agents in Hampton Roads receiving numerous awards for his production, but Brent's biggest inspiration doesn't come from commissions but relationships. They talk about everything from cold plunging to today's current real estate climate, as well as, making some predictions for next years climate and having some fun quizzing themselves on some popular songs.
