About the show

Mid-Market ERP systems cater to companies that are doing $10M-$500M USD in Annual Revenue. Companies that are too small for Mid-Market ERP are typically running on QuickBooks in the United States or similar applications in other countries. Companies that are too large for Mid-Market ERP are typically running something like SAP, Oracle, Workday, or one of a dozen or so other products. Mid-Market ERP sits in the middle, with dozens of products serving the space, but the types of companies in this space deal with very similar challenges. Let's talk about those challenges and explore technology solutions.

- Ryan has spent 20 years building analytics systems that people actually trust. The last 3 years taught Ryan what happens when you put AI on top of a strong BI foundation. - Most AI deployments fail before they start because the data underneath it is ambiguous, inconsistent, and disconnected from how decisions are made. - So Ryan built the DataTools Pro AI Blueprint. - Let’s learn about Business Semantics and why that matters more than ever in an AI world.

EP 180: Aleks Iwan - Using n8n in combination with Acumatica

- There are 2 main ways to build something that interacts with an ERP: - 1. Build within the ERP framework - 2. Build outside and interact with APIs - #2 is what we’d like to talk about on this episode - When you build outside, you then need a way to schedule what you built and be able to handle errors when what you built breaks at random times - I think that’s where n8n comes in, but I want to learn more about it from Aleks

EP 175: Kaden Webb - Differential Refresh over OData for Generic Inquiries

- My favorite feature in Acumatica is the ability to connect directly to the data in a Generic Inquiry over OData - It's my favorite feature because both Microsoft Excel and Power BI understand OData so you can design reports that are refreshable at the click of a button instead of having to Export to Excel every time you want new data - But OData can time out on large datasets - That time out problem could be solved with a differential refresh on OData, but I've never figured out how - Kaden thinks he has a way to do it so let's find out

EP 174: Hello ErpSeal.com and goodbye to AugForums.com

- Just me this episode so this will be a shorter one - Earlier this week I posted a lenghty explanation about moving AugForums.com to read-only mode - And transitioning to focus on ErpSeal.com - This Podcast also moves to ErpSeal.com - I’m not restarting the Podcast episode numbers, just continuing under a new name - So I thought we should dedicate this episode to talk about why this Podcast is now called the ErpSeal.com Podcast
